Claudialízate, andIt is a platform that helps include the migrant community in Mexican politics, showing solidarity with Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum, candidate for the Let's Keep Making History coalition in the next elections in Mexico that will take place on June 2.
With this platform, the aim is for migrants to be an important part of Mexico's decisions and thus be able to build a true inclusive and participatory migrant agenda, said Candido Nieto González, member of the initiative ?Claudialízate?, during an interview with Manuel Ortiz during the Península 360 Radio program in collaboration with Marcos Gutiérrez from «Hecho en California".
"We are allies of this movement and we are wanting to empower through us, the migrants, that is why we invite you to join the platform," commented Candido Nieto.
The platform was launched independently by citizens in the United States, promoted by the so-called "Migrant Network", who, among other actions, seek to promote the vote of Mexicans abroad.
?I have been seeing the reaction of my colleagues and everyone is very motivated, it is something that we already needed, it is good to have a citizen initiative of this type. I have participated in some party forums and the expected result was obtained, because here we are going to get to know all the groups and it is very free to express themselves.?, Nieto added.
The page specifies that action groups can be formed by area or by interest profile (for example, students or artists).
There are 2 types of groups:
- Local action groups are formed on the scale of a small territory, a street, a neighborhood, a municipality. Anyone can create or join a local action group, and there can be many groups in the same area.
- Profile action groups are created by platform administrators and bring together people based on their profile. In order to participate in these groups, your profile and areas of interest must be indicated in the settings.
You can sign up with your email or Facebook account, it will ask you to fill out a small form to identify where you are contacting them and to be able to group with people close to you, the platform has several ways to unite and share with people who are interested in the Mexican politics.
