California Attorney General, Rob Bonta, announced the arrests of 17 members of Northern California criminal organizations on felony charges as a result of a months-long multi-agency investigation into rival criminal syndicates operating throughout Northern California.

Authorities allege these groups are responsible for numerous violent crimes and shootings, including five attempted murders, in Sutter, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Yolo and Merced counties.

Among the alleged criminal acts, members of these groups were allegedly involved in a mass shooting at a Sikh temple in Stockton on August 27, 2022, and a mass shooting at a Sikh temple in Sacramento on March 23, 2023.

During the investigation, law enforcement was able to prevent two additional shootings.
