Business in the new era: how to market effectively?

Nancy Zhang. Peninsula 360 Press [P360P].

As the economy reopens, all businesses large and small must adapt to the new normal. Companies that had not adopted digital marketing capabilities have realized that it is a necessity; however, as most digital marketers know, succeeding in digital marketing takes time. As with anything else, there is a learning curve, but also advantages with having a greater digital presence. The sooner your company can pivot to the Internet and take advantage of digital marketing, the faster your business will grow in this new era.

Social media is one of the best ROI strategies available today, as 3.77 billion people worldwide use the Internet, of which 2.8 billion use social media. Due to their sheer size, social media can provide an enormous amount of marketing reach and exposure.

People spend much of their time online and this presence provides a large target audience for digital marketing services that are not limited to just e-commerce applications and website, but extend to social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. It is possible to connect with audiences around the world and across all demographics.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit hard in the spring of 2020, digital media usage skyrocketed like never before. Facebook traffic shot up 27% and other communication channels followed closely with spikes of 15 to 16%. While that spike has since subsided, this event inspired the beginning of a new era in digital marketing.

As awareness of the potential of digital media grew, everyone who could began to run more ads, post more frequently and invest more in digital activities. The growing trends in digital technology offer unlimited scope for various brands and industries to connect with their target audiences. By focusing on creating consumer experiences and establishing connections with consumers through digital media, companies or brands can have a good chance of gaining a competitive advantage.

While these insights provide us with information about our customers that traditional marketers couldn't dream of, tracking every comment, engagement and statistic is basically impossible. Luckily for all digital marketers, data intelligence has come across several innovative solutions that help us interpret and track it, live.

This way, you can stay on top of everything that's happening on your digital channels, from the number of visitors to your website to the effectiveness of your campaigns. And I speak from experience when I say that these insights are what will really make the difference in the effectiveness of your campaigns, both for the client and for your margin.

Sometimes, the constant changes in the digital world can be a problem to understand. Naturally, if you're not in the field on a daily basis, it's hard to know the ins and outs of the game. It's always good to consult with true experts who have the knowledge and experience to help you achieve your goals. Investing in your digital real estate is, after all, an investment in the future of your business.
