man drowned near Harborview Park

Man found drowned near Harborview Park in San Mateo Thursday morning. According to police, he was 28 years old.

According to the report, officers responded to a call at 1:39 about a man in the water in the Bay Trail area. Officers rendered first aid and transported him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

"The man, a 28-year-old San Mateo resident, was transported to a local hospital where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The San Mateo Police Department initiated a thorough investigation to ensure that this case is thoroughly investigated," the report highlights.

The name of the victim has not been released at this time.

As the investigation is still ongoing, authorities detailed that updates on the drowned man near Harborview Park will be provided as they become available.
