Rudolf, as he is better known in the film and advertising industry, is one of the best sound designers in Mexico; not for nothing, one of the tips he gives to young people who come to him is that sound is created by listening to silence.
Paying attention to seemingly soundless moments is one of his best virtues, which led him to be discovered by none other than Mexican film director Alejandro González Iñárritu, known as "El Negro", when Rudolf was only in his early twenties.
After working with "El Negro" designing the sound for one of the most iconic films in Mexico today, "Amores Perros", for which he won an Ariel in 2000, Rudolf's career took off with success and nominations in the category of sound designer for the Ariel in 2009 for films such as "Alamar" by Pedro González-Rubio, in the category of best sound.
Despite Rudolf's prolific career in film, his work is also dedicated to sound design for advertising.
Thus, commercials on YouTube or on different digital platforms are full of audio design that goes through the "Silence" studio, founded in 2016 and directed by the hand of his brother Emanuel Romero.
It should be noted that films and series such as "Capadocia", an HBO original TV series directed by Javier Patrón, Carlos Carrera and Pitipol Ybarra; the film "Gabriela Mistral", by Rodrigo Moreno del Canto; "Pita Amor", by Eduardo Sepúlveda; "Mujeres asesinas", produced by Pedro Torres and the series "Rojo mexicano", co-produced by Eureka T.V., are just a few of the films and series in which Rudolf has been audio designer.
